Teaching Staff

Richard Anderson, PhD, is a graduate of St. Olaf College and The University of Chicago, where he received his doctorate in American social, religious, and urban history.  Although his specialty is 19th century American history, his interests include world religions and Biblical archaeology.

The Rev. Monte Johnson has served as Senior Pastor of Immanuel since 2006.  He is a graduate of St. Olaf College and The University of Chicago, from which he has both Master of Social Work and Master of Divinity degrees.

Ken Olsen, PhD. is Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Loyola University.  A leading authority on synthetic blood, he has lectured in many countries and has been a visiting scholar at Harvard and Northwestern.  He has degrees from Iowa State and Duke Universities.
